Woman Down!!

Lying on that ground!
Blood gushing out of my veins!
Vision getting blurry!
Heartbeat getting faint by the second,
Body stone cold by the moment .
Thoughts criss-crossed my mind
I understood why he did it!

He did not mean to do it!
I played him for a fool
Explains why he lost his cool
Pushed him to the edge
 Pure  ride down town,
Steep!
Fast!
Reckless!
No speed bumps!
How could I not understand him falling over ??

Within, he ached for a happy ending,
A Confused present all I offered
Doing everything right his speciality
Not knowing how to react my talent
I was trying to move on!
While he,to move in..
 explains the  Strong emotion ,
But what about the sync?

Falling in love wasn't his only mistake
Hoping to win me over was another
Girl of his dreams I was,
He a  rebound plan !

I was broken!!
Yet he was determined to deal with my broken heart,
One he had no hand in!
He hoped the pieces were large enough to be fixed,
Believed someday,
The sun rays would hit me,
Like broken pieces of glass,
I would glitter!
Becoming whole again for him.

He was right!
I got my sparkle back,
Rusty chains of pain broke off!
I became watered again and blossomed..

Like every market has a mad man,
Every story has a sad point .
I couldn't see him more than a shoulder to lean on,
He couldn't unseee me as his happy ending .


Walking out of that door,
A knife stabbed me,
Through his teary eyes 
I saw emptiness of unreciprocated love,
Pain from lack of appreciation,
Weariness from carrying the 'US' burden,
Anxiety from all the waiting for me to love him back.
Disappointment in never being my 'the one '
Certainty if he could not have me,
No one else could!!
And in that moment I understood,
The joke is  on me!!
I did this to myself!
I did it to him!
He is now a crimal!
A victim of crime of passion I was!
Woman down!!🥺

  Today is my second day in America. But it is the first day I have walked on the streets. Which, by the way, is very different from my hometown. While my hometown has a million people walking in every direction, conversing and laughing, I was the only pedestrian in the street! I Quite Miss Home

  So, it's 12.07 am. If our world was still the same as 3 months ago, you would be dragging me to bed right about now. I would complain how much you are a sleepy head, and you'd remind me I would love the head ad get if we went to bed. I would get excited and run to bed. Only to realize I did not refill the water bottle in the morning, you'd go get some just because you know I can't sleep dehydrated. By the time you'd be back, I’d be all covered up and you'd tickle me and I would laugh, laugh so hard that the upstairs neighbor would give me funny looks in the morning.   Btw that one time I went to get the orange hair dye she asked me "huyo mtu wako mpole ni mfunny?" Sonder in California

  One thing I have learned in California is that a car is not a luxury item! It is a basic need! My first week here, I wanted to buy sodas; I walked for 46 minutes! 46 whole minutes! I saw the distance from Google Maps was 8 minutes; I assumed 8 minutes’ walk. Little did I know the 8 minutes was time for people driving. Do you know what those 8 minutes look like? It was like driving from Kitale town to Kiminini or Karen to Ngong! And I walked! At the end of the day, I was exhausted but proud of myself. I promised to buy a car as soon as possible.  But since I haven't bought a car yet and I need groceries, I guess I have to find alternatives, no? Wednesday 5.31pm The mall I am going to does not close until 11pm. So, I can actually leave for the mall in the evening.
